      The Lake House is one of Calgary’s finest restaurants and we were honoured to be chosen to film Shelby and Tyson’s wedding at this beautiful venue. This one was quite the adventure as it was a winter wedding where we were contacted 2 months before the big wedding date! Shelby was amazing at providing the detail that needed to be captured and providing a very accurate itinerary for the entire day that was pretty much exactly on time. This was a perfect example of a wedding that could have less number of hours of coverage but have quite a lot of footage shot on the day because the ceremony, reception and formals were all in the same area.

     The formals were filmed and photographed at Lake Bonavista. If you are looking for access to the lake, you will have to know someone that is a member of the community and has permission to enter as it is a private venue. Luckily Shelby and Tyson had an acquaintance that gave the bridal party, photographer and us access to the lake. Once inside, there are a lot of options such as small bridges, treed areas, docks for the boats that allow for long leading lines for compositions. The lake can also be accessed by the same parking lot as the Lake House so it is just a short walk between venues.
